What kind of device would you like to be added :

  • Philips HTB4150B (“Philips Soundstage Home Cinema”)

What kind of category signal would the app use :

  • IR
  • TCP/IP?
Using NMAP, I found an open port at 8080/tcp and responding to a simple GET-requests (Server: VS/1.0?).

Is there a (public) API / documentation or known other implementations (like Blogs/Github etc)

I haven’t found any documentation specific to the device (either IR or TCP/IP).

Are you willing to loan or donate a device to a developer?

  • Yes, if it helps, I can temporary loan the device.
  • If I have starting point, and probably some community help, I like to create my first app.

What I’ve done myself

  1. I asked for device support from Athom.
They suggested logging a request, using a Google Forms document (I did a while back, maybe the community is quicker).
  2. Somehow my Homey doesn’t like recording the IR signal from the remote and replay.
I’ve opened an issue at Athom.
IR is working: I’m using the Panasonic TV IR-app and the build-in Athom IR for controlling my TV/settopbox.
  3. I recorded the signal using the Homey Developers site
But emulating the signal does nothing.
  4. Searched online for identifiers etc.
Through Google I found the code “996510061354” for a replacement remote, but can not find any technical details. I do not see any other identifying codes on or in the remote control.
The remote control is visually similar to some HTBxxxx & HTSxxxx (Google Images)
  5. Found a LIRC-database, not sure if this is a good starting point
    • the db lists both remote ID’s and device ID’s, so it’s hard to find the matching remote
      • The BDP3000 looks somewhat similar
    • and, the format of the code is different of what I see in other IR apps

Are you willing to loan or donate a device to a developer?

  • Devices have replaced light wall switches so cannot be removed, happy to probe\test as required.

Explanation

  • This light switch was produced in response to the issue that turning off a physical light switch kills the power to the Yeelight ceiling smart light making it inoperable, it provides a hidden power switch (for power on reset) and replicates the provided remote controls functions via bluetooth. (On\Off, Moon mode, dim, color temp change). The device pairs to the light(s) exactly as the hand remote does so protocol may be identical.
