What kind of device would you like to be added :

  • Any Infrared Device

What kind of category signal would the app use :

  • IR

Is there a (public) API / documentation or known other implementations (like Blogs/Github etc)

Are you willing to loan or donate a device to a developer?

  • Not necessary

Explanation
I know Homey is capable of listening to IR commands (proof is the Philips TV IR that can listen to IR commands from a Philips Remote) and what I would like is a program that ‘learns’ IR command’s and then trigger a flow when that IR command is received. Since the IR module of Homey is able to ‘learn’ commands from nearly any IR remote in theory it should be possible to create such an app, and I’m sure many could/would benefit of such an app.
After taking a look at the source code of the Philips TV IR app I quickly found out it was beyond my skills so I’m hoping someone is willing to help. After the IR part of the app is working I could code the UI myself.

  • Devices have replaced light wall switches so cannot be removed, happy to probe\test as required.

Explanation

  • This light switch was produced in response to the issue that turning off a physical light switch kills the power to the Yeelight ceiling smart light making it inoperable, it provides a hidden power switch (for power on reset) and replicates the provided remote controls functions via bluetooth. (On\Off, Moon mode, dim, color temp change). The device pairs to the light(s) exactly as the hand remote does so protocol may be identical.

Nobø Energy Control Hub is on of the best rated smart control systems for heating panels in the Nordics. They have an API that is documented here:

If someone wants to make a Homey App for the Nobø Energy Control Hub, it can become a super smooth solution for controlling the heat in the Nordics where heating panels are very common!

https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota/wiki/Teckin-SP23

Already partially working with the ITEAD Sonoff app but the new ability to easily flash non Sonoff devices that use different modules like the above Teckin-SP23 makes for fantastic and cheap power monitoring sockets. Power Monitoring not currently working.
