Learning to create apps, recommendations?

Does anyone have any recommendations of books for a newbie wanting to start out creating an app, sort of like a dummy’s guide, or any websites/YouTube videos to which ever programming language Homey needs to use.

Ones which may show me how to create a basic app first then advance from there?

Is it Python the apps are primarily written in?

But for a complete absolutely beginner - there are lots of articles on learning JavaScript (JS).

Then To apply that knowledge to Homey checkout the drivers page the JPe4619 linked. And read the code from the apps on the app store - (its under community).
