Ring Doorbell Autorisation button not working

I have a ring Video doorbell and chime that work fine without Homey but when i try to Autorize i can fill in Email and password in the new homey app but the button Autorize/Autoriseer dus not work what could i do to solve this ?

What version of homey do you have?
I authorised mine when I was on V1 and it came over in the update to V2.

Authorized my Ring on 2.0 without any problems.

Hi Adrian i am running version 2.0.0 I bought the Ring just 3 days ago after the update and the ring and chime also have the latest firmware so …

You could ask the dev at:

OK i will thanks !

@denniedegroot you mean?

To others that read this topic.
My problem was that I used the autofill on my android phone to fill in my email address.
When I typed it in, the authorization worked.

I now switched from 2 way authentication to standard, but I can not login anymore, app version 2.1.4.
He keeps reminding me to switch the 2 way authentication off.

What could this be?

Same here! When I fill-in my email and password I get an email from Ring with an autorise-code. I can’t fill-in this code in the Homy app

Check out this thread Ring Doorbell V2
Basically Ring has broken it.

Ring app is disappeared in the store?

The dev has asked for it to be pulled as it is no longer working since Ring enforced 2FA. It is a sad day.

If people would like to see the app come back maybe you can send a new feature request to Athom https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc8j_GfID4adV4w5ogNtIX1-AqVWrkgIo3bOjkoNtqlHMM0xw/viewform.

Athom stand a better chance of becoming a partner with Ring than a single individual.
If they get enough request perhaps they will consider it.

With help from https://github.com/dgreif/ring I have managed to get the Ring app to work with the authorisation code that is emailed (forced 2FA).
I am not sure how to share this with anyone that is interested in trying it and I’m not sure I want to take it on even if Dennie would agree to that.
What do people think?

Let me know if you need somebody to test it

I have forked Dennie’s repository so the modified code can be grabbed from here https://github.com/AdyRock/com.ring
