ROBB smarrt Z-wave and Zigbee app (v1.5.2)

goed bezig!

@Erik_Kempen and @Dolf_Hofman both of you are using the Zigbee version of the curtaincontroller right ? Not the Z-wave version as shown on above picture…

Hi Ted, yes it appears very similar. Except mine is the version branded by ROBBs, product number ROB_200-010-0

(See picture)
Right now I am using the built in app and selected Sunricher Motor Controller - this only allows the screens to go completely down or complete up, no positioning half way.

Hello Ted,

I have the zigbee version.

Dolf.

@Erik_Kempen @Dolf_Hofman I’ve added initial support for the Zigbee Curtain Controller to v1.5.0 of the ROBB smarrt app; available in the test environment: https://homey.app/a/nl.ROBBshop.ROBB-smarrt/test/

Can you install this update and re-include the Zigbee Curtain Controller based on this update.
Unfortunately, re-including of the Zigbee Curtain Controller(s) is required, but only one time. If future updates are needed, I’ll ensure you can proceed without re-including.

@Erik_Kempen this update will enable to set a defined closure level and start / hold controls:

Looking forward to your feedback; much appreciated!

Hi Ted,
Just installed the 1.5 version. I had to disable “automatic updates”, as for some reason unknown to me, Homey bumped it back to 1.4.
I have in total 3 screens in use, each with its own controller. I first removed one screen, and then initiated add device, selected the curtain controller, and interrupted power to the screen to invoke the include proces. This immediately worked.
The begin screen where you remind how to include devices is nice, but it will need two additional remarks:

  1. if you had the device installed using a different app and you do NOT remove that device first, you will end up with two devices. If you then remove the initial device, you will loose both devices…
  2. you have to run the calibration process, press switch K2 two or three times (depending on the connected appliance). If you don’t do that, then the positioning controls will not know how to properly position the blinds or screen.

So far, Ted, it seems to work fine.
You could consider adding a close/open function to the short press on the icon (now there is no action defined for short press).
I will test some more later this week with creating flows.
Thanks!
Erik.

Thanks for the feedback @Erik_Kempen.
If you update the test version to 1.5.1, you’ll get the open close function by pressing the icon “for free”; will require an additional restart of the app after updating.

Quick question, the ZigBee wall dimmer… is it possible to connect a normal lamp to this dimmer (seems possible looking at the diagram)? If so, is it possible to switch the lamp on/off with another ZigBee switch? I would like to use this -sunricher- (https://www.hiline-lighting.co.uk/gb/zigbee-led-controllers/672-zigbee-touch-panel-rgbw-5060440714634.html) Zigbee RGBW unit with 4 groups. I would assign 1 group to the Robbsmart wall dimmer. Is this possible?

Hi. I have bought the led dimmer z-wave with 4 channels. When I add the device, I can’t switch the channels seperately. What am I doing wrong? I would prefer 4 seperate devices in my homey?

@GertCorstjens the 4 channels of this LED dimmer are individual (balanced) power supplies able to connect 4 LED strips, but based on 1 single dimmer.

So also from Z-wave perspective only one dimmer is present.

So actually useless they are separate channels? Cause you can’t control them seperately? The only option is to send it back and buy 4 seperate dimmers for low voltage? Any advice?

The channels refer to the separate power supplies (controlled by a single dimmer), actually quite handy if you want to connect long led strips and have equal light intensity. But indeed not able to control individual channels (also not advertised as such if I’m correct).

I asked the shop (after buying) today… And they thought it could be controlled seperately… So a bit disappointed. Do you know other devices that can dim and switch low voltage leds? Zwave or zigbee… preferrable 3 lines on one device? But 3 would be fine top. And working with homey offcourse.

What about Fibaro RGBW Controller 4-Channel 12-24 V

On chapter 4.3 they talk about switches? But I don’t need that? How would I have to connect them? Switching would be done bij Homey flows? https://manuals.fibaro.com/rgbw-2/

It works with and without switches. To switch the 4 channel individually you can use flows, yes.

Awesome! Thanks. I will try this…

For the people wanting to extend their Zigbee network, two new devices are added to the app: a Zigbee based curtain controller (first for Homey) and a new door / window sensor strip:

@Dolf_Hofman @Erik_Kempen thanks for your support in testing the Curtain controller!

Hi All,

I’m new to Homey, I have a issue with the 8 button zigbee wallcontroller. I can add the wallcontroller into the Robb smart app. But can’t add a button to a flow for powering a lamp i.e. I have tried to bind a button during the creation from the flow without any result. Thanks in avance!

help!!!

Hi, I’ve bought 5 “ SMART ROTARY DIMMER Z-WAVE ROBB SMARRT SKU: ROB_100-014-0“ and I’ve tried to add them to Homey using the Robb smarrt app with no luck.

I doesn’t work accordingly to the instructions, when adding the devices I’m stuck on the first dialogue.

‘Reset the dimmer, triple press the rested button…(exclusion mode).’

I have also done factory reset a number of times.
I have my homey 1 cm from the dimmer.

Am I doing it wrong? I’m about to give up and returning the dimmers…
