How to switch on a light with homey
With Homey you can easily automate you’re home lights, the best part is that you can use different protocols next to each other. You can use Hue (Zigbee) with a Fibaro switch or a kaku dimmer/switch.
What did i use
- a Aqara Wireless switch : https://apps.athom.com/app/com.xiaomi-mi
- a Ikea Tradfri light connected to Hue hub : https://apps.athom.com/app/nl.philips.hue
The best way is just to show it to you :
When i press the button 1 time the light goes on, when i hit it again (1 time) the light goes of.
To make optimal use of the 4 options (1 press to 4 presses) the Aquara switch provides, i add some extra options to my lights.
When i press the button 3 times
This is called ‘sexy time’ The color changes to bright orange, and the brightness goes to 40%
When i press the button 4 times
The color changes to bright white, and the brightness goes to 100%
