All those units or to say accessories of netatmo do not have wifi inside. Only base station has wifi. So small units send data to base station and base station to the cloud over wifi internet connection. From cloud homey gets its integration data over api.
That is the reason you must have base and only then after the other add-ons.
Ok thanks, then I understand. Does anyone know of a good rain gauge that can talk directly to Homey? I would rather not buy a complete weather station.
Yes you are right @David_K . I have it and it is very good! Happy with it, and it is supported in a Homey PoPP App.
