Wireless Weather Sensors App

This might turn out to be a very silly question but how can I add a sensor? Ive installed the app but when I try to add a sensor the process goes straight to a "no “new devices found” message. What am I doing wrong?

Set up the app after installation (settings/apps/wireless w s /configure app), choose which brand(s) to search for and wait a while.
If it finds any device it supports it will be listed and then can be added.
If no device is found then either you don’t have a compatible device or there is a range issue.

Thanks!

Ok, that worked. The sensor is now visible but I cannot use a specific temperature as a trigger, only a temp change. Is this correct and if it is is it possible to add the possibility to use a temp value as a trigger in a flow?

The trigger is the temp change. The condition is the temp value.
Like:

WHEN temp changed
AND temp value is eaxtly / higher then / lower then xx
THEN do something

You might want do do some searching about creating flows. Lots of explanation and examples present in this community.

Thanks again!

Hi @nlrb

I have two Oregon Scientific THGN132N sensors. They are both added to Homey, and also a Telldus ZNET lite v2.

The problem is at the values of sensor 1 is sometimes added to sensor 2.

Hytta - Soverom 4 (local) -> read by the Telldus ZNET gateway, and added to Homey by the Telldus Live app.

Hytta - Soverom 1 -> read by Homey and the Wireless sensors app.

Hytta - Soverom 1 (local) -> read by the Telldus ZNET gateway, and added to Homey by the Telldus Live app.

You can see that the temperatures of the Hytta - Soverom 1 is switching between the two temperature sensors.

Data reported from Telldus Live:

@balmli If you look at the Homey app settings, what does it say for id & channel number?

ID = 1d20 and Channel = 4, but I only see one of them in app settings.

Oregon Scientific v2 4 1d20 Sun Sep 27 2020 09:15:54 GMT+0200 (Central European Summer Time) {"temperature":19.3,"humidity":66,"unknown":"00","lowbattery":false} Hytta - Soverom 1

Then probably you have them both set to channel 4. Make sure they both use different channels.

Hello. When I change the battery of an Auriol outdoor temperature sensor, the sensor starts up using the same channel but a new ID. I have to add the ‘new’ sensor in Homey, loosing all historical data. Is it possible for you to make the ID fields editable in the app so that new data (from the new ID) get added to the old data?

Can I change the setting of the app somewhere using ssh or something?

Regards,
Danny
