[APP][Pro] Xiaomi Mi Home App

even on an iPhone?

It seems adding the Xiaomi Gateway does not work anymore. I will deprecate the driver with the next release.

Too bad, I used the gateway and motion sensor as night light. Unfortunately I dont find any substitution which is night light with zigbee. :frowning:

ok clear, to bad but nothing you can do about it! Have to find other ways then to have a stable Zigbee solution.

I’m not sure I follow - I have still my Xiaomi Gateway working normally, not sure which generation I have, probably 2nd - are you going to depreciate all or specific version only ?

You can probably still be able to use it. Its not possible to add a new one.

This is correct. Paired devices still work. I might even be able to fix it if I put time into it but I’m getting fed up about the unstable miio library. It’s no fun for me and I don’t even use the app myself anymore.

Hi Jan - great - I will try that. One question: How can I “be safe” when installing a “not-authorized” software like this?

sure, no risk there. But it seems it is no longer supported?

Hi, I’m having a xiaomi mi robot vacuum cleaner v1 that I’m tried to add to my homey, i got a token and i know it’s ip address as well. The thing is every time I’m trying to connect to it i get a message about 30000 ms timeout. Can you help me with solving it?

Thank you!

By the looks of it you are not using a valid token or Homey is not within the same subnet. Are you sure this is the correct token, which method did you use to obtain it?

I Have installed needed version on my android device and got the token from log file. Homey and mi vacuum cleaner are connected to the same wifi network. I also tried to enter random Incorrect token getting same result with 30 sec timeout

That’s exactly why I suspect the token is not correct. This is the error given when the app can not connect to the vacuum cleaner due to incorrect token. Have you reset the wifi after retrieving the token? This will reset the token as well.

Yes, did that twice and tried 3 tokens in total, same result given
I thought incorrectly entered token would trigger different error type more related to the token issue and not the timeout

Thanks for instructions, i know this method but i’m using my android tv with installed Mi Home app v.5.4.54 and retrieve the token from log file. Method with backup is also ok, the only issue i have with it is my iphone has 256gb and full about 60% so this backup procedure takes forever

Every time first i do a wifi reset on mi vacuum cleaner, then register it in Mi Home app on my iPhone, then using my Android device open it in Mi Home app v.5.4.54 and then go to log txt file looking for the token in the end of this file. Then using this token I’m trying to add it to Homey getting timeout error every time. Am i doing it not in a right order?

Yes, that is the right order. Not sure then why it’s not working.

Just tried the ios method with backup as i found my old iphone 6. Using SQLite db from backup got hex string, transfored it into proper token and got exactly same string, and same timeout error again. Tried to reset wifi once more and nothing changes.
Do you have any idea what else i should try to add it?
What is polling frequency, should i keep it empty using default 60 value?

If it times out the polling frequency does not matter. Perhaps Xiaomi also did something to prevent third party control for the vacuum cleaner. I’m seeing more and more proof of Xiaomi actively doing stuff like that. I disconnected my own robot from the Xiaomi cloud for good by rooting it. I can’t really help you any further, I’m sorry.
