[APP] Aqara & Xiaomi Smart Home - A different kind of Smart Home solution (Zigbee App)

fyi - if have two of these smart plugs… I paired these to Homey as an “standard ZigBee” device not linked to an app… the switches do work great as on/off switch, but no power consumption measurement.

Thanks @AlexEbner, much appreciated!
The Square plug is inbound and will be added as soon as possible.

Yes it works as standard Zigbee device!
But i have it bought to replace a ClickanClickuit Par1000 device to have more features.

I have updated to homey firmware 4.0 RC5 yesterday. What I noticed is that motion sensors of Aqara do not work anymore. Anyone else noticed this already?

They still work over here. no delay or other abnormality

I discovered that it’s not only the motion sensors, als the contact sensors of Aqara do not function anymore… restarting the app did not work.

My Aqara devices are still working great after the recent v4 rc 5 update

Have 6 sensors and all are working well

Do any Zigbee devices still work? In some cases, after an update or restart of Homey, the Zigbee chip does not initialize properly. Which is visible with a spinning circles at the device icon. Pulling Homey’s plug and reconnecting it (sometimes several times) will resolve this.

Is it possible to add a feature to be able to close the aqara b1 curtain manually by pulling it?

Thanks for the tip!! It worked, all devices are working again

When i restart Homey and zigbee device do the “circle” i only wait 1 minute or 2 … All work fine everytime

Good to hear!

The circle shows the normal initialization; so if the Zigbee chip is initializing properly, the circle will disappear after a few minutes.
If the Zigbee chip is not initialized, the circle doesn’t disappear and a PTP is required.

Both statements are not in conflict to one another.

Another €20 for Aqara Opple switches for @TedTolboom . Keep up the good work!

Any news about the xiaomi mijia honeywell Smoke detector?

The smoke detector depends on the mysterious ZigBee rewrite, an Athom issue. I hope that that item will finally have reached the top of their to do list …

Hi gentlemen I tried different tricks and understand where the problem appear. I have added Aqara Xiaomi Zigbee device number 21 and 22. I know the limit is 20 for Homey. You can see the routers did the job and all worked fine.

BUT when I restart Homey all Zigbee devices collapse and never work again. . I will remove the two and see but my biggest concern is that if you pair more than 20 devices via routers it works however it wont survive restart coz all end devices and routers trying to reach Homey at the same and the app times out all devices? Pls for confirmation of my thoughts :worried:
EDIT: so my thoughts confirmed. I turned off 2 devices and after reboot all is back. That means Homey is not able to handle 20+ devices.

My own recent experience is that Homey would reconnect to all zigbee devices re-assigning the same connection for a device…
In similar situation than yourself having 20+ devices with few routers only… I am trying to enforce the network not to assign direct connections to Homey for devices that are not critical to Heimdal Security like temperature sensors or buttons. (I need the Heimdal sensors to fe effective even in case of power cut and if they are connected through a router it win’t be the case).
To enlarge my number of vital sensors to Heimdal, I delete some devices to get those with a direct connection and reassign the other through routers.
This technic works very well as I could control the connections so far even after restart.
I have a question to specialists however: Is is part of the design for a Zigbee mesh to keep the memory of routes and re-assign identical routes to its devices or is it just a coincidence ?
