Reading all through the post isn’t gemakkelijk, I know.
The answer is hier:

I am clearly asking of it is possible to set changes to the debug menu.

Samsung says that my tv has wol

The TV must support wake-on-lan (or wifi) to be turned on by the app.

Pb sent to Martij_De_Keijser (?)

I took some time on a otherwise boring night to check this out.
The WOL on your television seems only available if you happen to have the evolution kit. This kit is apparently available:

I have a Samsung ue40ju6400 and can add it to homey using the encrypted option. The tv asks for the pincode. But after this controlling the the tv fails for all inputs…

The tv response is here:

@Jeroen_Van_der_Wal

You should try to find a developer with a ue40ju6400 - model, that is willing to help you. Sorry, I don’t have such a TV…

Still fuzzing with my UE46ES8000 with SEK-2000 Evolution kit.
The Evolution kit actually upgrades this 2012 model to a later model and therefor the Secure debice is used.
It does repond to http://192.168.1.12:8001/ms/1.0/
See:

Volume up/down and Mute are working (do not use channel up/down because of a settop box).
Only on/off is not working. So, not only ON (could be a problem with WOL) , but off doesn’t work too… :frowning:
Those are the ones I would especially like.
I am on v5rc53 with the latest Samsung Smart TV app.

What could I do?

Hello,

I reinstalled my tv yesterday, i used a fixed IP this time, secure connection is on, and made an API token where i selected everything. I can zend commands to the tv, and wake him up/shut down,… but when he is off homey keeps thinking he is on. Then giving the command to shut down gives an error device already off, but my button stays white instead of grey, and power keeps at max usage.

Hi Henk,

Maybe the correct “power off” key is not sent, since you have upgraded the TV. Try sending the different key-codes and see if one of them works.

  • Power Off
  • Power Toggle

Hi Michaël,

Try disabling the SmartThings API. Sound like the state in SmartThings cloud is incorrect.

Thanks, that was the solution

Hi Balmli,
I’m using a UE40b7070 Samsung - its really old but was marketed as a smart tv.
I have it on ip 10.0.1.30, and can use the yahoo widgets etc so I know it is on the network.
I can also ping it and get a response.
But when I use this address in a web browser it “refuses to connect”. I did a port scan on the address and it found 52235 and 52396 open. But even using these port addresses with your URL look up /api/v2/ it still “refuses to connect”. 55000 didn’t work either.
When trying to add it in your app it apparently finds a TV, but does not determine the ip address. I have tried using each of the different profiles (samsung, encrypted, legacy) to no avail. Device is unavailable, IP address needs to be set. I manually enter it but still no joy.
The most recent firmware was published in 2010… perhaps it is just too old?
Cheers,
Sandy

Hi Sandy,
I don’t know if a B-model is supported. The legacy - version would be the one, and I guess it won’t respond to the two URLs.

So sorry, I’m not able to help…

Did you find an solution allready for the 123 button on the smart remote?

No. The only way I got it working is with a series of individual key-commands, where the “more” key opened the menu

Hi, your app works great! Is there a chance to display a popup message on the TV? For example, someone rings a bell (aqara button) and “someone rings” appears on the TV. The TV supports popup messages, but I don’t know if it can be controlled using Homey.

Don’t think that’s possible with tizen.

Hi all,

Why is it not possible to add a tv that is in a another VLAN?

When i am opening the browser on the vlan where my homey is in I can open the page:

Hi!

Big newbie here, I cannot find where I can set the IP adress in the homey app of the samsung smart tv. I’ve tested http://192.168.86.23:8001/api/v2/ and I’m getting information back. So that’s no problem.

But where do i set the IP adress itself? Thanks!

Tried adding a device?
