The problem is that Athom couldn’t imagine that it makes sense to show the temperature on a tile of a thermometer. So everyone tries to use the workaround with the thermostat device class and its target_temperatur parameter. But with this option you have other limitations like no neagtive values, etc.

The VD app helps to relieve the symptoms. But Athom has to redefine its device specifications fast which is the cause of the problems.

I know, it’s a shame.
Very strange they haven’t just opened up for the possibility to show information on the tiles.

I use a modified VD app to get negative values.
It work’s, but very unnecessary

Interesting! Maybe you should share your information with @Arie_Laxed. I think this could be another improvement of the VD app which makes it possible to use it for outdoor temperatures in winter or freezers.

I’m on v0.9.4 and can’t input a “minus” in the attribut field min target_temperature of the VD thermostat device.
