Seems like I found the correct thread! :slight_smile:
I am migrating from Zipato and to have the ZD2102 external sensor to work is one of the last steps I have to do.
So far, everything has gone really smooth, but this issue is blocking me a bit.
I realixe, I can pull out the soldering iron and add wires between the Reed relay and the external connector to have it to do almost what I expect, but that would be to cheat as I see it. :slight_smile:

Yes, the official app V2.5.0.
The sensor works fine using a magnet.

But, when I try to get the external sensor input to work, nothing at all happens. No reaction at all.
I have selected “Turn on the external input = Yes” in Advanced Settings.

In the old thread I first found, this issue was discussed some year(s) ago.

Can you share a diagnostic report with me?

You can do that via:

more - apps - vision security - settings wheel right top - send diagnostic report

Gosh, that was quick!
Nope. At least not yet. I maybe have to wait 3600 seconds for the setting to be active?
A sidenote is that the tamper alarm doesn’t work either, nor the battery status. Thos two is of no importance for me, more on the “cosmetic” side. :slight_smile:

Now (after 3600 seconds), the parameter “Turn on the external input” was set to “No” .
When I try to set in to “Yes”, I get error message “failed_to_set_Enable_External_Switch_to_true_size_1”.

Hey @PeterW
most of the time with Z-wave battery devices it’s that the device is in sleep mode. What you can try:

  • wake up the device manually
  • change the settings value
