LSC Smart Connect: remote control

Hi,

This is my first post on this forum.

Last week, I bought an LSC Smart Connect “bulb” at the Action.
Setting it up with the app worked without any problems.

It seems that I even can control the device from a remote place e.g. from my work office,
Does anyone know how accectly that is arranged?

At home I can imagine that it works because I am controlling it within the home network, but from a distance there almost must be a 3rd party involved, or…

Yes: these devices work through the Tuya cloud service. AFAIK, even if you use them locally, the official LSC app (not the Homey app) use the cloud service.
