[APP][Pro] Kia and Hyundai

hi @Gruijter ! thanks for building this app, but I’m struggling to get it to work. I managed to install it, but when i try to log in with my Bluelink credentials (+ PIN) i get the following msg:

“Error: Response code 400 (Bad Request)”

Any idea why that might be? I am in the Europe region.

Sometimes the Kia/Hyundai servers are just down. Does the UVO app allow you to refresh the status?

Turns out I had the wrong password! My bad. All sorted now. Thanks!

no problem. Hope you like and enjoy the app!

Many thanks for your generous donation @RonnO :kissing_heart::beers:

maybe temporary failure of the european servers? I had the same issue, but it went back to normal some minutes ago after app restart.

edit: and now it fails again. Will wait a few hours to see what happens…

I’m also having these errors each time I try to add. I don’t have a EV/Hybrid but have KIA Ceed 2020, which does support UVO for a lot of sensors. So I was hoping to add that as well, but no luck yet.

Will get back to that later. First wait to see if the servers come back again. If not Kia/Hyundai might have changed their auth process again.

The UVO-app from Kia works fine, so the servers seems to be up and running.

Not for vehicle status refresh! So it looks like an issue with the mobile data provider…

I was able to fix it for myself by resetting the navigation unit in the car (with a ballpen press the small button for 10s next to the volume knob).

So all is good interfacewise, serverwise and mobile data wise…

Hi @mvanlijden Can you send me a app diagnostics report. State in the message Kia Seed 2020

2021-03-11 13:11:21 [err] [uvo] @EuropeControllerLogin: AuthCode was not found
2021-03-11 13:11:19 [log] [uvo] validating credentials
2021-03-11 13:10:45 [log] [uvo] Pairing of new car started

This is my log from the app while I was still using the old UVO account. It doesn’t crash when paring. I just get this error. I have verified that they are correct, because the UVO app does work fine.

After this I tried login in again in the UVO to verify my account and I was asked to upgrade my UVO account to a KIA account. After doing this I had to log in using my new KIA account. This als failed and resulted in this log:

2021-03-11 13:26:02 [err] [uvo] Response code 400 (Bad Request)
2021-03-11 13:26:01 [log] [uvo] validating credentials
2021-03-11 13:25:51 [log] [uvo] Pairing of new car started

Now i tried logging in with the old UVO account again and somehow it does seem to work??
So after upgrading the account, but using the old data I’m now logged in… Haven’t had the chance to verify data yet. I see no data, but don’t have access to the car as my wife has the car to work today.

Please go to the app settings and click on ‘create diagnostics report’. I would like to see the full log. Thx!

There you go

Thx! The report doesn’t show the info I am looking for. So I made a new version that dumps the Kia server info after the app starts. Also I took the opportunity to upgrade the NPM package to the latest version.

Can you install app version 2.1.2, pair your car, wait 5 minutes, and create another diagnostics report?

Thx!

I have restarted the app (v2.1.2) and then tried to setup a new connection to the car in addition to the existing that crashes. Fails with AuthCode not found as well.

@MrNickNoldus I have no clue why it doesn’t work for you. Maybe you should create a new password via the UVO app.

Logged out of UVO, logged back in and changed the password. Changed the password in Homey, restarted the app, no luck. Deleted the car and tried to add it again, no luck there either.
